Quebec City, Quebec, October 24, 2017 Opsens Inc. (“Opsens” or the “Company”) (TSX:OPS) (OTCQX:OPSSF) is proud to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary Opsens Solutions has received the first prize in the category “Best Innovative Product – Physics Measurements” in the Technological Awards Ranking of the magazine Mesures. This honor was bestowed upon Opsens during the 22nd edition of this event held in Paris.

Due to the innovative qualities of its new optical fiber foil strain gauge (“OSP-FP” gauge), Opsens’ product was selected by a jury of experts in instrumentation. The gauge was developed in partnership with FTMesures, Opsens Solutions’ representative in France.

“This award shows that Opsens Solutions’ innovative technologies meet market needs in the field of industrial instrumentation. Major aircraft manufacturers have already carried out evaluation programs for this new product that addresses the market of composite structures, among others, “said Gaétan Duplain, President of Opsens Solutions.

The OSP-FP gauge is part of an intensive development program of new products targeting markets such as aerospace and semiconductors. Opsens Solutions intends to become a key player in these markets by offering a range of innovative products for the measurement of pressure, temperature and stress.
